4th Annual Valentine's Dinner/Dance - Saturday, February 12th, 2011

Mark your calendars for Saturday, February 12th, 2011. We are preparing for the 4th Annual Valentine's Dinner/Dance at the Community Center. As soon as the plans are finalized, we'll be putting up flyers & updating all the needed info. As always, volunteers to help with the decorating & set-up are always appreciated. VETERANS DAY PARTY South Campos Community Center

This was the best turn out for the Veterans Day Party.

We had many veterans there even a World War 2 Vet.

There was lots to eat at the potluck, many items were

auctioned off and all proceeds went to the Wounded Warriors.

Once again cudos to Walt Jarhead Jones for being such a

wonderful host. Hope to see everyone again next year.

Poblado Delicias Kid's Halloween Party - 2010

There will be a Halloween Decoration & Trick or Treat Bag Assembly Party Tuesday, Oct. 26th at 11:00am, at the Community Center in Poblado Delicias. If you would like to join us to decorate & fill the Trick or Treat Bags or drop off candy or toys for the kids, we would love to have you. If the flyer below doesn't answer all your questions, please contact Sharon on Channel 69. Thanks so much for all your help & donations.

Trouble uploading the flyer, so I'll tell you the info. The Kid's Halloween Party will be Saturday, October 30th, 5:oopm at the South Campos Community Center in Poblado Delicias . Kids in costumes, games, fun, food, & a good time to be had by all. So come enjoy!!

BAJA LUNCH BUNCH

The Baja Lunch Bunch met at Santa Ysabel Casino on Tuesday, August 31st. The following 13 people were there: Dick & Dolly Dickmann, Paul & Alice Achzehn, Mike & Linda Schork, Dave & Linda Zerbe, Manny & Andrea Ramirez, Walt Jones & Debbie and Marilyn Spears. There was a lot of sharing of summer activities and of course "Baja Talk". Some stayed and tried their luck on the slots. It was a real nice social break while we are waiting for the weather to cool down in the South Campos.

Valentine's Dinner/Dance - February 13, 2010

If you were unable to make the Valentine's Dinner/Dance, February 13, 2010, held at the Community Center - may be next year! Fun, Fab, & Friends.. A good time was had by all. Our 2010 King & Queen are Lee & Nancy Parrent. I had a great picture of them but my pictures won't download. Sorry!! Thanks go to those who organized the dinner/dance, those who prepared the food, & those who served. Muchias gracias!! And special thanks to all the "Love Birds" who came out to enjoy a good meal, good friends, & a good time!! Vatos Locos did a great job & everyone danced. POTLUCK AND BINGO this WEDNESDAY

All Are Welcome to the Monthly Potluck and Bingo at the Community Center at 5 PM this Wednesday, Feb. 17th. Bring a dish to share and enjoy all the variety from the South Campos good cooks. BYOB
Bingo is scheduled to start at 6 PM and there is a substancial blackout prize at the end. Lots of fun!!!!
There is a very short general meeting and announcements at 4:30.

Just a reminder about the Valentine's Dinner/Dance, Saturday, February 13th, 2010 at the Community Center in Poblado Delicias. Tickets are for sale now - $17.50 each. Remember, get your tickets early because they won't be sold at the door. We're having salad, Roast Loin of Pork with a glaze, steamed broccoli, mash potatoes, rolls, dessert - Death by Chocolate, & punch. SOUTH CAMPOS BIBLE STUDY

The South Campos Bible Study will tackle the 10 commandments. We will be using the book: Losing Moses on the Freeway by Chris Hedges. Oprah Winfrey says, "At a time when the mere mention of religion can excite so much passion...and discord, Losing Moses on the Freeway offers sane and bracing ways to think about, and rethink, the whole subject of faith." Plan to join us on Monday, Feb 1 at 10:30 at the Community Center.
